Cle Elum Fire Tower

DISTINCTIVE

FEATURES

This incredible ridge top property is the home to a new rustic timber and stone fire tower.  Designed as a 3-story guest house the building incorporates a 2-car garage on the main floor.  A bedroom and bath are located on the second floor.  The third level has an amazing living area with built-in seating, kitchen and wrap around covered balcony.  Traditional fire tower forms were scaled up and detailed in a rustic manner.  The finished product looks like it belongs among the old sentinel pines on the mountain.

  • Built using fire-wise methods as it is located in the Washington state Wildland/Urban Interface
  • Montana stacked boulder base with increasingly larger stones at the bottom
  • Substantial timber beam construction with herringbone ceiling
  • Sturdy hand forged iron railing with covered walk around balcony
  • The location is so ideal that it was actually used by firefighters as a logistical command center during a recent wildfire
